Zaporizhizhia Presbyterian

About

The Church in Zaporizhzhia is a church plant right in the middle of an active war zone. While there was a larger group before the full-scale invasion, this community of believers now just has two families. They meet together for prayer and join the Kharkiv church online to worship. When Pastor Serheii is able, he travels from Kharkiv to minister to them.

You have probably heard of Zaporizhzhia in the news due to the nuclear power plant. This city is very much in the line of fire and needs the prayers of the saints to encourage the believers, to give wisdom to the leaders, and to ask God’s preserving hand to protect them.

Pray for

  • Evgeny, the son of one of our members, was mobilized and is now at a training camp. Pray for his protection – both physically and psychologically from the horrors of combat.
  • Ukraine’s victory so that peace – a just peace – can return to Ukraine
  • Our soldiers, the emergency workers, the utility workers, and the volunteers who keep life going forward and protect us
  • The health of each of our group members, the health of our families and that family members would come to know Christ
  • The protection of our families and our homes, which are located here, on the front lines
  • For our brother in Christ, Leonid, who is in America with his family but cannot work due to an injured leg and has a large family
  • The recovery of their daughter-in-law after her C-section

Praise for

  • Your prayerful support that encourages us
  • Our Lord and Saviour and his care for us.
