Pastor George Kadyan was ordained in 1997 and became the pastor at the Odesa – EPCU church. He and his wife, Snizhana, later felt called to start a new church plant in the north of Odesa in 2007. Recently, they have been working to add a bomb shelter to the church as well as making the church handicap accessible. Due to the war, soldiers and civilians alike have suffered injuries that prevent them from getting upstairs. They envision the bomb shelter as serving not only the church, but being a ready help and protection to people in their neighbourhood. They are imbuing real meaning into Proverbs 18:10 – “the the name of the Lord is a strong tower, offering safety and refuge to the righteous who trust in Him.”
