Today marks 35 years of Modern Ukrainian Independence

August 24, 2026

Today our churches give thanks for Ukrainian Independence.

They give thanks for living in a country with religious freedom, where they can openly worship and share the truth of God’s salvation without fear of reprisals.

They give thanks for the opportunity to register their churches as nonprofit religious organizations, to make purchases of land, and to hire and invite workers on behalf of the church.

They give thanks for the men and women serving in the Army, in the Hospitals, and through Humanitarian means who continue to work to maintain their freedoms.

They give thanks for God’s hand of protection over their lives, their churches, and their homes.

They pray for God to give wisdom to their leaders; that they would seek the good of the people and their country and would humble themselves to admit, correct, and take responsibility for mistakes.

They pray for continued protection; for the continued ability to worship God freely, and for God to bring a just peace to their land.

Will you pray with us for Ukraine?
