The Church in Mykolaiv is small, but working hard for the kingdom. Located near Kherson and near the front lines, the church uses all of its time and resources to deliver humanitarian aid to surrounding villages and also share the hope of Christ with them.

Since Kherson Church currently doesn’t have a pastor, Andrii travels the one hour journey to Kherson on roads that are full of potholes from shelling and on which a can quickly come into the line of fire or become a target for a drone.

While many of the church members who were in the church before the war are gone, the church has gained new members who now come to worship at this, their closest church or before they move on from Mykolaiv to greater safety in the West.

Pray for

Wisdom. We have not been able to find anyone who accepts responsibility for the broken pipes and water damage. We cannot locate the building owner. It is also difficult to find repair workers. All of these efforts take tremendous time, and if we have to repair them, resources as well.
Our city, people are having increasing difficulty coping with the reality of war -the constant stress, daily danger and damage, and higher prices. Pray that our church can offer a hope that is eternal and cannot be destroyed.
Pray for our work with vulnerable women who may be considering abortion.
Our church as we work with Kherson and prepare for their evacuation efforts.
The distribution of winter food packages to the congregation and villages. Winter is predicted to be very difficult this year.
Safety. Missiles and drones continue to target our city.

Praise for

Pastor Andrei receiving military deferment, allowing him to travel and continue his ministry activities. The fact that he, a Protestant minister, was granted this is more evidence of the blessings and freedoms in Ukraine for religious minorities.
God’s continued protection over our church and congregants.
