Christ is Risen!
He is risen indeed!
Some of our churches celebrated Easter on April 5th with the Western Calendar while others celebrated Easter on April 12th with the Eastern Calendar. In the true spirit of celebration, some even celebrated Christ’s ressurection both days. And why not? Why not celebrate the most joyous truth on which our faith rests – that because Christ lives we can face tomorrow, for if he is not alive, our faith is worthless and we are still in our sins? (1 Cor 15).?
Below is how the church in Izmail celebrated our great salvation.
There have been constant drone launches and our city has experienced many anxious and sleepless nights spent in bomb shelters. Still, by God’s great mercy, we are preserved and have the strength to carry on.
We are especially happy to share that we were able to pull together for a lovely church celebration of Easter. We tidied up the area around the church, held a warm and inspiring women’s service, and organized a master class in floristry that provided the decor for our Easter service.
On Easter Sunday, we gathered around a delicious, shared meal filled with blessed fellowship, and once again felt God’s grace among us.
