Odesa’s second church plant, Covenant of Grace started as a mission church in the northern part of the city in 2007. Beginning with a core group of 11 adults and 4 children, there are now around 50 members, though 12 of them are currently refugees outside of Ukraine, and two men are in the Army.

Besides the usual church services and ministries, we are devoted to supporting our military guys – friends, neighbors, relatives of our church members – and sharing the Gospel with them. With this 4th winter, russia is hitting the power grid especially hard to try to break our spirit by leaving homes without electricity, water, and heat. The war puts eternity in perspective, and we strive to give people an eternal hope in salvation through Christ alone.

Pray for

  • Safe travel out of Ukraine and back again for Pastor Kadyan and his wife as they go to celebrate their daughter’s graduation from Covenant College.
  • God to especially protect the church – the people and the building while Pastor George is away.
  • The safety of our many church members and associates who are serving on the front, and for their families here at home.
  • For our congregants who work at the Sea Port – this is a frequently attacked location and especially dangerous.
  • For the speedy completion of the bomb shelter, it is more and more necessary each day.

Praise for

  • The Kadyan’s daughter completing University in the United States.  Pray for God to continue to guide her future and use her gifts for His Glory!
  • Our continued survival after every attack. Despite much damage being inflicted on the city the last few months, no one from our church has been injured.
  • The blessing to worship with so many on Easter Sunday
